Filipino American pop star Olivia Rodrigo recalled a moment that felt nothing short of divine. After falling through a hole on stage while on tour and emerging unscathed, she couldn’t help but feel her late Filipino grandfather was watching over her. 

But her connection with her grandpa runs even deeper.

In an ASMR interview with W Magazine, the Grammy-award-winning artist revealed that her grandfather, who passed away earlier this year, had a special gift for astrology.

When she was born, he read her birth chart and made a bold prediction: She was destined to be an emotional soul and a performing artist. 

And he was right. The “Drivers License” hitmaker called it one of her favorite stories to share with astrology skeptics or for her “astrology denier.”

A proud Pisces, the Fil-Am superstar leaned into her astrological side during the interview, reading a horoscope that described a period of “extremes” but encouraged staying balanced and making a positive impact. 

“But that does not mean you should be extreme in your own thoughts and actions. Take a more balanced view of what’s going on in the world, be the kind of person who makes a constructive difference,” she continued.

Adding her signature charm, Rodrigo embraced her playful “spicy Pisces” persona, even chopping chilies as part of the ASMR fun. It’s a nickname she proudly flaunts on Instagram, showcasing her fiery yet relatable personality.

Her Filipino roots shone brightly during her “GUTS” world tour, especially in the Philippines, where a record-breaking 745,000 fans lined up virtually for tickets to her September show and a record-breaking crowd in the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

While singing “Enough for You” in Bulacan, she remembered her grandpa.

“He never got to see me perform, especially in the Philippines, so that made me very emotional. I was just thinking about him,” the “Vampire” songstress revealed.
